Coffee Care Rift Valley While Beans
The Team at Coffee Care take coffee seriously. All they talk about is coffee β they love it. So if you love it too, youβre in the right place. They’ve been delivering award-winning coffees and services to the trade for 40 years β thatβs possible because they are a second-generation family business.
They sell, and have always sold, speciality and high-grade coffees, teas and hot chocolates sourced ethically from around the world. Paying fair prices is all part of that process but it doesnβt stop there. How their coffee is roasted, packed and delivered matters and their day to day activities are carried out with a conscience. Their small business is undergoing major changes as the provision of more environmentally sustainable options become available. This has always been, and will always be, an ongoing commitment for them.
As well as achieving a respectable 11 Great Taste Awards to date and a coveted SCAE Gold Cup Award, over the years they have built up a range of accolades including βBest Yorkshire Beverageβ for their Three Peaks Blend, Best βBusiness to Business Wholesalerβ, and selected as βEditorsβ Choiceβ by the Fine Food Digest on multiple occasions. Whilst they donβt think they need awards to demonstrate the quality of their products they do understand that they provide independent validation for anyone that doesnβt know them as well.

This beautiful blend combines all the best qualities from 4 renowned coffee producing countries. Colombia, Costa Rica & Brazil adding some interest and balance to these beans predominantly sourced from Kenya’s Rift Valley where the Rich red volcanic soil helps produce quality coffees and where the volcanic plains help create the terrain
of the valley.
All our Kenyan coffees are graded at AA, this means they are of a superior standard and have more complex flavours. We source our coffee from the auction system which was established back in 1934. Here they grade the coffee by cup quality and bean size.
To experience these beans at their absolute best, grind as and when you need them, altering the grind to suit the brewing method. Espresso – fine, Mokapot or aeropress – fine to medium, Chemex – medium grind, Filter – medium to coarse, Cafetiere – coarse.
Great Taste Judges’ commented: “Warm, pleasing aroma. Syrupy, sharp and bright at the start, then it drifts into toffee. Balanced and long on the finish, it threatens to spike a little on acidity but it is actually rounded, almost chocolate.”
